Our clients say their number one reason for banking with Plaza Park is relationships. The relationships they have with their lender, the tellers and even our President provide value and
Plaza Park does banking differently. We’re local, family owned and operated and nimble. We consistently go the extra mile to learn your story and make things happen.
As a local business, one of our favorite things is to help entrepreneurs start and grow their business. Local businesses are vital to our economy and make our community unique.
Meet Jim Schleper and Jacki Templin – our commercial lending dream team. They coach new and existing business owners and provide lending solutions to help ensure success.
Jacki came to Plaza Park six years ago after years of working for a large, national bank. She wanted to have greater influence over the decisions made for her clients and she found that at Plaza Park.
Plaza Park does things differently than other banks. “I serve on the loan committee that makes all of our lending decisions,” Jacki says. “And I get to be an advocate for my clients and our team works hard to be flexible and find solutions that work for my clients.”
Bill at North Benton Dental says there are three reasons he works with Plaza Park: Jacki, Jacki and Jacki. “We know our clients rely on us to enable their growth and be successful. It’s a humbling and honorable job,” Jacki says.
Jacki, who grew up in Belgrade, MN, lives in Sartell with her family. She and her husband, Tom, keep busy with the activities of their four kids who are involved in travel basketball, JO volleyball, baseball, softball and SCSU volleyball. “We basically spend most of our time in the gym watching sports or on the field,” Jacki says.
Jacki and Tom also like to spend time outside biking, playing basketball or hanging out with friends.
Jim has been with Plaza Park Bank for almost 35 years. He’s seen highs and lows in the economy and has most enjoyed the opportunity to provide solutions for local businesses that fit their unique needs.
In his time with Plaza Park, Jim has worked with second, third and even fourth generation Plaza Park customers. Jon Boerger with Colorful Concepts Interiors, for instance, is a third-generation business owner with Plaza Park. Jon says Jim consistently goes above and beyond for Colorful Concepts – including that Jim calls him when there’s real estate available that he may be interested in. “Who else does that but Jim and Plaza Park Bank?!” Jon says.
If you peak into Jim’s office, you’ll quickly see his love for his family and sports. Jim played football for St. John’s University and has since played a lot of City League basketball and softball, coached a number of youth teams in football and baseball while his children were growing up and currently enjoys playing golf whenever he has a chance.
The athleticism doesn’t fall far from the tree. Jim’s daughter, Anne, is an incredible hockey player, earning a Silver medal with her teammates at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. And his son, Adam, played football at St. John’s University.
Jim and his wife, Deb, live in St. Cloud and enjoy being active in the community.
